This volume integrates the One-Minute Manager principles with the strategies of Blanchard’s Situational Leadership II. Situational Leadership II suggests one should adjust leadership styles depending on the levels of motivation, competence and maturity of the followers. Not everyone should be led the same way, and the same person may need to be led differently as they grow and develop, thus the best leadership styles depend on the “situation.” The four leadership styles are directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating. The book offers guidelines on identifying which style to use in each situation.
