LifeandLeadership.com Summary
This is one of the most comprehensive resources on this subject, and unique in the attention it gives to the pre-hire period. It is especially helpful for those whose ministry is in congregational faith traditions who operate more from a network placement procedure (i.e. no judicatories). The authors discuss resume preparation, networking, negotiating compensation, interviewing and navigating search committees, letters of resignation, leaving gracefully, beginning productively, getting to know a new community, etc. A good supplement to other volumes on the subject, especially in covering the pre-hire period.
